Operations - Operation – Kodiak

  • Kodiak is located in the Southern USA state of Alabama.
  • There is significant mine and associated infrastructure at site as the Project was operational until late 2008.
  • The Project has a ROM reserve of 48Mt of high quality coking coal.
  • The majority of coal mined will be via the room and pillar mining method.
  • The wash plant is in good condition and can be quickly brought back online.
  • Attila has rail and barging infrastructure close to the Project.  There is spare capacity at either option.
  • Both the rail and barging  options go to the Port of Mobile which is the 12th largest port in America.  There is spare capacity at the port.

Exploration and Development - Exploration – Kodiak

  • Kodiak consists of two properties – Gurnee and Seymour.
  • Kodiak has a reserve and resource of 48Mt and 126Mt respectively.
  • There is good potential for the reserves to be increased in the future based on the current resources.
